Subject: Invitation: 2016 Metro-Atlanta College Access Conference

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to invite you to the 2nd Annual Metro-Atlanta College Access Conference. The program will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5-9 pm at Towers High School (3919 Brookcrest Circle, Decatur, GA 30032).

The Metro-Atlanta College Access Conference is jointly hosted by College AIM and Towers High School and works to create connections between high-achieving underrepresented minority and first-generation college students from public schools across the city with financially, academically and socially supportive post-secondary institutions from across the nation.

Our 2015 inaugural conference included nearly 50 college representatives, 250 high school students, 75 parents and 40 high school counselors and teachers. We hope and expect to see participation increase in our second year!

The conference opens with two workshop sessions – led by admissions representatives for participating students, parents and school personnel –  that provide support through the college search and application processes. Following the workshops, all participants will join together for a brief college fair.

We invite you to participate fully by leading a workshop for both sessions and partaking in the fair or to simply join us for the fair at the conclusion of the event. We have found though, that the most meaningful and fruitful connections have been made during the workshop sessions. For more information on workshop options and program details, please consult the attached conference flyer.

To register please complete the registration form and pay the $75 registration fee no later than Wednesday, August 17th.

The registration fee is paid through our third-party server (Corps Member Education Foundation). Please follow the link above and then click "Donate to this Program" to pay the $75 fee. This amount will cover the cost of dinner, conference materials and our post-conference social (held offsite at a location TBA from 9-10:30 pm). Should your institution need an invoice for the registration fee or need to pay by check, please do not hesitate to reach out and we can provide further details.

For more information please also refer to the attached flyer and our conference website. We look forward to seeing you on the 26th!

All the best,

Sam Aleinikoff
